Website Review

We were asked to choose a website to evaluate that could be useful as a tool in our future classrooms. I choose to review the KMA or Knoxville Museum of Art website. I wanted to check the reliability of a local establishment's website considering it somewhere close to our community and a possible field trip location.

The KMA has a well organized website with many tools that would be beneficial for students to use in an art classroom. I felt that many of the podcasts listed on the site could be very educational and great to help gain student interest. Also they have posted lesson plan idea's for teachers to use in their classroom's. For students that might not have been exposed to a museum it has great images of artist work that are currently being displayed as well as previous exhibitions.

I felt that overall that the KMA's website is a useful tool for an art educator to use with their students or for inspiration for future lessons. If you would like to check out the KMA's website visit
